Grimm + Parker has an exciting an opportunity for a talented Senior Designer to collaboratively engage in design excellence initiatives across all our studios and practice areas.
We are a community focused, Mid-Atlantic firm with 3 locations: DC/Metro in MD suburbs, and Tysons and Charlottesville, VA on the historic pedestrian mall. We design spaces that shape lives and transform communities. Our professional staff consists of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, construction specification writers, sustainability specialists, quality control experts and several other disciplines.

Responsibilities/Duties
- Hold design leadership role on a range of projects and across all phases of a project.
- Collaborate with design leadership to enhance culture of design excellence across the firm.
- Contribute to business development and marketing efforts, including interviews.
- Serve as editor and reviewer of projects to curate strong design within studios.
- Participate in and review content for design award submissions.
- Assist in mentoring, recruiting and developing junior designers.
- Lead or participate in various design initiatives for collateral materials throughout the firm.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture is required
- 10+ years of professional experience, including leading teams and projects
- Demonstrated design successes in projects focused on community: education, multi-family residential, civic or mixed-use.
- Ability to work in collaborative studio environment, hybrid and/or in-person
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Revit, SketchUp and other digital design tools preferred
